In the comments of this section I will include info about and artists that have used either of these methods of creation either purposefully or accidentally.
Why? Because many artists and mathematicians past and present speak for its inherent appeal. At the simplest these two approaches to relation are ratios used to define or create relationships. since that means little or nothing we can start with the Fibonacci sequence because it is easier to understand. Simple really, take an item and add the previous item to it. So in numbers it would 1,2,3,5,8,13,21 and so on and so forth. This can also be done with geometry. see link below.
The golden ration is equal to
1 + sqrt{5} ------------ or 1.6180339887498948 2 when comparing two sides or items that can numerically quantified and compared.
this link makes it appear that the two are the same. however there is a slight difference, other than the almost inverse nature of the golden vs fibonacci relationship. I am currently trying to pin point the exact difference in layman's terms.

there is often a debate whether the appearance of the golden ration by an artist was intended or simply approached by accident
